for Medical Sciences (IOMS) which has its Head Quarter at
Kuwait. It is a non-governmental, non-profitable, charitable
organization having no political overtures of any kind,
keenly interested in promoting the health standards of the
humankind through collaborative activities in Islamic countries
as well as Muslim communities throughout the world, focusing
on Medical Ethics, Heritage, Healthy Lifestyles and Herbal/Traditional
Medicine. It was established in the year 1984 and since

The
next on the agenda of the IOMS is to initiate and activate
the Muslim countries to formulate the strategy to face the
challenges of high cost of health services and acceptability
and affordability of drugs anticipated due to the adoption
of WTO and TRIPS agreements accepted by most of the countries
throughout the world. These agreements will undoubtedly
affect the progress of developing and least developing countries
as well as the common people.
